MashBeatz win best hip hop album at the SAMAs
MashBeatz triumphed with ‘This Is Religion,’ earning the title of Best Hip Hop Album at the 29th Annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs). Celebrating his win the Lick Back hitmaker took to social media.

The event took place at Sunbet Arena, on November 18.
AKA, despite his untimely departure, left an indelible mark on the SAMAs. Posthumously, he clinched the Male Artist of The Year award and the Best Collaboration for ‘Lemons (Lemonade)’ featuring Nasty C. His latest album Mass Country also secured the Best Engineered Album.

Amapiano sensation Myztro was named Newcomer of the Year for ‘2.0 Nkwari,’ while K.O’s track ‘Sete,’ featuring Young Stunna and Blxckie, dominated not only the charts but also the award ceremony. It received the SAMRO Highest Airplay Composer Award and the CAPASSO Most Streamed Song Award.
