Zakwe shares excitement and cultural insights midst US tour debut
Rapper Ntokozo Zakwe, also known as Zakwe, is currently making waves on his debut tour in the United States. His tour itinerary includes stops in cities such as Washington DC, New York, and Raleigh. The KZN rapper told Zimoja, that he was approached by the US Embassy in Durban for his first-ever US tour.

He explained that the US Embassy in Durban recognised his contributions to the hip-hop community in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) as both an underground events planner and a musician. Impressed by his work, they reached out to him to bring his talents to audiences abroad.
“They loved what I have been doing in KZN for the Hip Hop community as an underground events planner and musician,” he told the publication. “They hit me up to see if I’d be interested in learning more about the culture, the origin of Hip Hop in the USA, and how their artists make it with rap music.”
The rapper has been sharing moments from his travels with his followers on social media.
Throughout his tour, which began on April 13 and extends until the 26th, Zakwe aims to fully immerse himself in American hip-hop culture while sharing his unique perspective and musical talents with audiences across the country.
