Support floods in for Da Les following stroke
Support has been pouring in for rapper Da Les, following news of his stroke last Friday. The artist, whose real name is Leslie Jonathan Mampe Jr, is currently in recovery, according to a statement released by his family on Sunday.
The brief update confirmed that Da Les was hospitalised after suffering the stroke at his home on July 26. He is reported to be in a stable condition.
The Mampe family expressed their sadness over the situation and requested privacy during this difficult time. They also called on the public to keep Da Les in their thoughts and prayers. “Updates on Da Les’ condition will be provided as they become available. We appreciate your ongoing support during this time,” the statement read.
Da Les, a founding member of the hip hop group Jozi, has also made a mark as a solo artist through collaborations with various prolific artists including Burna Boy and the late AKA.
